M. Srinivas Rao, a Drugs Inspector (Sales) in Visakhapatnam, has received an award for his performance at a national training programme on clinical investigation and medical-device performance in New Delhi.

The residential programme was held from September 21 to 23 at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare. It brought together 40 officers from 15 States and 10 Central government offices, according to the Smart Visakha Chemists Welfare Society.

Rao represented the Andhra Pradesh Drugs Control Administration. The society said he was the only State government officer among the participants to receive an award. The source did not specify the award’s title or category.

The three-day course addressed clinical investigation and the performance of medical devices. Rao's recognition came at the end of the national-level residential programme.
