Dante Moore returns to Oregon practice but has not been cleared to play

The quarterback practiced in a helmet and shoulder pads after a concussion, but his return date remains uncertain.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore practiced with the team on Monday wearing a helmet and shoulder pads, coach Dan Lanning said. Moore remains in the concussion recovery protocol and has not been cleared to play.

Lanning gave no timetable for his return and said the team would put the player's health first rather than rush the process. Moore was injured on Sept. 26 against USC after a hit by linebacker Desman Stephens II. Moore was taken from the field on a stretcher, and Stephens was later suspended.

The NCAA return-to-play process has five stages, from light aerobic activity to full-contact practice and a return to competition. The Big Ten's first official player availability report is expected Wednesday evening. No. 13 Oregon is scheduled to host No. 21 UCLA in Eugene on Saturday. Lanning did not confirm whether Moore would play.
