
Corporate selling outweighed net purchases by banks, individuals and other investor groups.
Institutional investors on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) recorded net sales of AED 50.1 million in September, Argaam reported. They bought AED 9.25 billion in shares and sold AED 9.30 billion. Total market purchases and sales each came to nearly AED 16.04 billion.
Corporates drove the net institutional outflow, selling AED 291.8 million more than they bought. Banks recorded net purchases of AED 141.5 million, while other institutional participants were net buyers of AED 100.2 million.
Individuals bought AED 4.27 billion and sold AED 4.25 billion, for net purchases of AED 25.2 million. Other investor segments recorded net purchases of AED 24.9 million.
UAE nationals bought AED 8.19 billion and sold AED 8.12 billion, resulting in net purchases of AED 67.2 million. Non-UAE investors were net sellers by the same amount. GCC investors recorded net purchases of about AED 164.5 million, while investors of other nationalities posted net sales of AED 248.8 million. Arab investors were net buyers of AED 17.1 million.
