The drug, Trutakna, received accelerated approval from the Food and Drug Administration in July for the treatment of IgA nephropathy, or IgAN, a disease caused by the buildup of immune antibodies in the kidneys.
IgAN leads to progressive loss of kidney function and potentially organ failure requiring dialysis.
With the final data from the Phase 3 study now available, Vera Therapeutics said it will seek full approval of Trutakna from the FDA during the fourth quarter.
