In a post on X on Thursday, September 17, 2026, the World Bank Kenya account invited eligible organisations to partner and apply for the GFF x CIVIC VOICES grants. “CALL FOR PROPOSALS!” the post said, inviting “CSOs & youth-led organizations in Kenya” to apply.
The total funding available is up to US$3.35 million, about Ksh434 million, to be awarded across up to 22 African countries. The maximum grant for a Kenyan partnership is US$175,000, roughly Ksh22.7 million. According to PATH, one local partnership will be selected in each country.
The opportunity is open to local civil society organisations, youth-led organisations and community-based organisations working in eligible countries, including Kenya. Applicants must form a partnership of at least two and no more than three organisations, with at least one being youth-led.
The lead organisation must have at least five years of experience in health financing advocacy and accountability, while partner organisations must each have at least three years of relevant health advocacy experience. All members must be legally registered and operational in Kenya.
Successful partnerships can receive grants lasting up to 18 months, alongside advocacy training, budget analysis technical assistance and mentorship.
Organisations must prepare a technical proposal using the prescribed Word template and a high-level budget using the provided Excel template. Applicants must also attach proof of legal registration for every partnership member, budget verification for the lead organisation and an organisational organogram. PATH says all application documents should be submitted via email, and the documents must follow the prescribed formats, while attachments should not exceed 150MB in total.
Applications close on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 11:59pm East Africa Time. The proposed grants are expected to begin on November 30, 2026.
