The 44‑year‑old Spaniard, whose existing contract was signed in September 2024 and was set to run out next summer, has reached a new agreement with the Premier League champions, with formal confirmation expected during the upcoming international break.
Speaking before Arsenal’s Saturday trip to Brighton, Arteta said the club and he are "very much aligned" and that there is "nothing to be concerned about," adding that both parties share the same ambition and will finalise the paperwork when the time is right.
