He expressed gratitude to the National Health Service staff and medical professionals who have overseen his recovery, describing their support as “incredible” and thanking friends and family for their encouragement.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his ability to tour again, the musician said he is “very happy” to announce the new album, noting that the past few months of health challenges would have otherwise “heavily hindered” his capacity to make music.
He did not specify a release date for ‘Fudge’ or when he might return to the road, stating only that he will “fight to get better” and hopes to be “on the other side of it when the time comes.”
The announcement comes after the artist was forced to cancel his opening performances for Mumford & Sons in the United States, a high‑profile slot that had been scheduled for the summer festival circuit.
