The streaming service will join its existing Standard and Premium plans with a third, advertising‑supported option, creating a three‑tier lineup for Austrian customers.

“The introduction of our advertising‑supported subscription option marks an exciting new chapter for Disney+ in Austria,” said Eun‑Kyung Park, senior vice president, Direct‑to‑Consumer & Networks and country manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. “It offers subscribers even more choice and, for the first time, gives advertisers in Austria the opportunity to reach audiences in our premium streaming environment.”

Disney+ already offers a Standard with Ads tier in Germany, where it is priced at €6.99 per month, and will launch a similar €6.99 plan in Belgium on 27 January 2026, indicating a broader European push for ad‑supported subscriptions.

The Austrian service provides a growing catalogue that includes films, original series and live sports, drawing from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and ESPN.

Pricing for the Austrian ad‑supported tier has not yet been disclosed, but the company said the new option will give subscribers greater choice while allowing advertisers to access the platform’s premium audience.

Disney+ is extending its ad‑sales infrastructure across Europe, with Influent Media set to handle ad sales for the upcoming Irish Standard with Ads launch in March 2026, underscoring the company’s strategy to monetize its content through both subscription and advertising revenue streams.
