In newly filed documents obtained by TMZ, She’s Alive, LLC alleges that Seaver’s texts have created “continuing operational paralysis,” forcing the firm to bring in private security for staff members at both the office and their homes.
The filing states that Parton’s trusts and estates attorney withdrew from the case, other personnel resigned, and several employees stopped coming to work because of the alleged messages, leaving the company unable to manage the iconic star’s brand.
According to the management company, the texts — sent after Parton’s death in August — include Seaver, recently dismissed from his two‑decade tenure as head of security, describing himself as an “international arms dealer and mercenary,” declaring “I’m a killer,” and warning that “everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,” while vowing to “destroy the entire brand.”
Donny Nozell, Parton’s manager for more than 20 years, filed a separate lawsuit on Tuesday seeking a restraining order, accusing Seaver of attempting to extort him for money and of threatening violence by invoking his self‑proclaimed military‑contractor experience and access to weapons.
Seaver, who is the son of Parton’s late sister Cassie, responded that the messages were taken out of context, describing them as private “rage talk” exchanged while grieving. He denied any threats, said he was speaking frankly with a friend he considered a “gangster,” and criticized Nozell and Pinnacle Bank for what he called “bad‑faith actions” following Parton’s passing.
Seaver broke the news of Parton’s death in an Instagram video on Aug. 25 and attended her memorial three days later. The legal battle now threatens the day‑to‑day operations of the company that safeguards the country‑music legend’s estate and brand.
