According to a report from TMZ and confirmed by Page Six, Thomas, 45, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over by Westlake Village police. Officers instructed him to stay inside the car, but he stepped out and allegedly ignored the command.
Police say Thomas then resisted, prompting a charge of obstructing or resisting an executive officer. The report adds that he was “drunk in public” at the time of the incident.
Jail records obtained by Page Six show that Thomas was booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s jail and released a short time later. No further details about bail or additional charges have been released.

The incident follows a pattern of legal troubles among former “Home Improvement” cast members. Tim Allen, the show’s lead, was arrested in 1978 for cocaine possession and later served over two years in federal prison.
