The walk, billed as a blend of fitness and social connection, is the latest session of a series that now includes more than 15 meetings held at venues such as the Botanical Garden, Durgam Cheruvu, Malkam Cheruvu, Gandipet and the Nehru Zoological Park.

Sambavi, who moved to Hyderabad after stints in Delhi and Chidambaram, said she was inspired by a similar Delhi‑based group and wanted to create a space where women could share experiences without the pressure of a strict pace or competitive atmosphere.

Participants come from varied professional backgrounds. Siri Talada, an introvert who arrived in Hyderabad two months ago, said the walks helped her make friends and hear advice from older women in different fields. Document‑processing specialist Sharmishtha appreciates the relaxed, non‑judgemental vibe that makes talking to strangers easier, while IT professional Mrunal, who also rooms with Sambavi, values the inter‑generational friendships the group fosters.

The group’s motto—"Walk together not just for fitness but to engage, know each other and build a community"—guides conversations that range from career growth and workplace culture to shopping tips and the best dining spots in the city.

Sambavi believes the initiative strengthens a sense of belonging for both long‑time residents and newcomers, offering a free, low‑key platform for women to build lasting bonds and support each other’s personal and professional journeys.
