IIT Palakkad announced that its two‑day Industry‑Academia Conclave, dubbed IAC 8.0, will take place on September 25‑26 at the institute’s campus.
The event’s chief guest will be Nagahanumaiah, director of the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) in Bengaluru.
Key speakers include Kanakasabapathi Subramanian, senior vice‑president of Ashok Leyland; B.P. Gautham, chief scientist at TCS Research; Krishna Venkatesh, global head of Integrated Product Development at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories; and Yogesh S. Chauhan, Chair Professor and head of the Electrical Engineering department at IIT Kanpur.
Senior executives and technologists from companies such as Syngene International, Aurea Biolabs, HSBC, Fujitsu, Tata Semiconductors, L&T Construction, Hero MotoCorp, Mastercard and Bristol Myers Squibb are expected to participate.
Faculty members from a range of academic and research institutions will also attend, underscoring the conclave’s focus on cross‑sector collaboration.
Organisers said the programme will centre on emerging technologies, research, innovation and career opportunities, featuring technical sessions, a start‑up exhibition, student poster presentations and a panel discussion that brings together industry and academic experts.
