On Tuesday, Jon Hamm, 55, appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and broke his silence about his wife Anna Osceola’s pregnancy, describing himself as “very excited and deeply terrified” to become a father.
Hamm said he believes he’s “doing it right” and that the feelings shouldn’t “go away,” adding a light‑hearted remark about his future “old dad” status, joking, “When your kid is 70, you’ll be like, ‘I did it!’ When I’m 152.”
Osceola, 38, had previously showcased her baby bump on the red carpet at the 2026 Emmy Awards in a striped gown, a moment Seth Meyers referenced as “peak timing,” to which Hamm replied, “I’m not saying she did it on purpose, but it was some timing.”
The couple, who have been together since 2020 after meeting while filming Mad Men in Big Sur, California, wed in June 2023 at the same location. Hamm described the ceremony as “very sparsely attended” and “perfect” in a prior interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Before Osceola, Hamm was in a nearly two‑decade relationship with actress Jennifer Westfeldt and had publicly said in 2012 that he was not actively seeking children, calling himself a “terrible father” and expressing uncertainty about marriage.
Hamm’s comments mark the first public acknowledgment of the couple’s upcoming child, adding a personal dimension to his public persona as the star of “Your Friends & Neighbors” and “Mad Men.”
