The G Pro X3 Superstrike arrives in two colour schemes – a bold pink and a classic black – and will be sold alongside the earlier G Pro X2 Superstrike, which remains priced at $179.99.
Like its predecessor, the X3 uses haptic actuators beneath the two main buttons, a design first introduced with the X2 in February that replaces traditional mechanical switches to reduce latency and let users customise the click feel.
Among the hardware upgrades, the X3 is equipped with Logitech’s Hero 2 sensor capable of 48,000 dpi, a step up from the X2’s 44,000 dpi, and it delivers 90 g of acceleration and a maximum speed of 930 inches per second, compared with the X2’s 88 g and 888 IPS.
The new mouse also supports an 8,000 Hz wireless polling rate, a capability the X2 could only reach when tethered via USB‑C, and its battery life is claimed to reach 135 hours on a single charge versus the X2’s 90‑hour estimate.
Weighing 61 grams in the U.S. version – two grams lighter than the earlier model – the X3’s improved weight distribution is intended to enhance handling for competitive players, though the incremental gains may be less noticeable for casual gamers.
Logitech’s decision to launch a “1.5‑generation” update so quickly suggests the company is betting on its haptic‑click technology to differentiate its high‑end lineup, while keeping the X2 on the market at a reduced price point that recently fell to $129.99, hinting at possible holiday‑season promotions.
