The tech giant launched the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S26 series on 16 September in its home market, and today it is extending the rollout to other regions, beginning with the United States where carrier‑locked devices can now download the software.
For the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the update is a 4,183 MB package identified by firmware version S948USQU4BZID, as reported by source Tarun Vats. Users can check for and install the update through Settings → Software update → Check for updates.
One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, introduces expanded Quick Panel customization and a suite of new features aimed at convenience, productivity and privacy, including upgraded Samsung Notes, enhanced Samsung DeX functionality, refined accessibility options and a new location‑privacy indicator.
Samsung expects the stable version to become available in additional countries over the next few days to a few weeks, and the same build should also be offered to devices that took part in the beta testing program.
This rollout represents the first major software refresh for the S26 series since its launch, delivering users a more personalized and secure experience while keeping the devices aligned with the latest Android platform.
