Less than 24 hours after unveiling the new single “Patient Zero,” Swift used her social‑media channels to reveal that the track is part of a four‑song deluxe version of her “The Life of a Showgirl” project, now called “The Encore.”
The expanded edition will feature the previously announced “Patient Zero” alongside three fresh songs – “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon” – all slated for release on Friday.
To mark the announcement, Swift shared an unseen photograph taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. In the image she dances before a fuchsia curtain in a micro‑mini golden fringe dress designed by Nicolas Jebran, paired with metallic mesh Rene Caovilla heels priced at $2,050. The dress’s fringe consists of individual gold and silver chain‑mail pieces that catch light from every angle.
The new visual contrasts with three stark black‑and‑silver photos Swift posted earlier to promote “Patient Zero,” underscoring the album’s broader aesthetic of glitter, fringe, sparkle and opulence that has defined the “Showgirl” era.
Swift thanked fans for delivering “the biggest first‑week for an album in history” to “The Life of a Showgirl,” noting that the additional songs were written out of “pure gratitude for your exuberance and celebration of the album we made.”
The original “Life of a Showgirl” shoot featured a lavish mix of feathers, crystals and vintage Bob Mackie pieces sourced straight from Las Vegas, reinforcing the project’s high‑glamour visual identity.
