The deal, announced in a company press release, gives Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting a controlling interest in Dermatouch, a science‑backed premium skincare label founded by Anish Nagpal and Amit Purswani. The remaining 40% of the company will be acquired over the next three years, bringing the total transaction value to INR 387.5 crore.

Dermatouch, which focuses on dermatologist‑recommended solutions for concerns such as pigmentation, acne, brightening and sun protection, reported revenues of roughly Rs 131 crore (about US$13.6 million) in FY 2026, a 114% jump from the previous year. The brand’s sales have accelerated from about 60,000 units a month two years ago to more than 60,000 units a day today, driven by its direct‑to‑consumer platform, online marketplaces and an expanding offline retail network.

The acquisition is Wipro Consumer Care’s 18th globally and its third strategic purchase in 2023, underscoring the group’s push into high‑growth consumer categories. Building on its existing skincare portfolio that includes Derma Lab, Dr. Dermis and Bio‑essence, the company aims to leverage its R&D, distribution and innovation capabilities to scale Dermatouch beyond its current digital‑first model.

Kumar Chander, CEO of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting and MD of Wipro Enterprises, said the purchase represents “an exciting opportunity… our first foray into digital brands” and highlighted the brand’s proven ability to expand offline. Co‑founders Nagpal and Purswani welcomed the partnership, noting that Wipro’s legacy of trust and its extensive distribution network will help turn Dermatouch into a “truly global brand.” Sumit Keshan, head of M&A for Wipro Consumer Ventures, added that the deal aligns with the firm’s strategy to capture high‑growth segments in personal care.

The move follows Wipro’s recent acquisitions of Good Home and Eva from TTK Healthcare and several S‑brands in the Philippines, part of a broader effort to strengthen its presence in fast‑growing consumer categories. Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, a division of Wipro Enterprises, posted revenues of INR 10,800 crore in FY 2025‑26 and operates across personal wash, toiletries, facial care, home care, lighting and other segments, with more than half of its turnover coming from international markets.
