The Chinese smartphone maker announced the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max early this morning, with the devices listed on GSMArena and immediately available for purchase in the domestic market.
The 18 Pro Max sports a 6.9‑inch AMOLED front display and a 2.9‑inch rear screen, while the 18 Pro features a 6.4‑inch front panel and a 2.7‑inch rear panel; both models incorporate Xiaomi’s new privacy screen that automatically blanks sensitive content when the phone detects it is in a location where privacy may be required.
Both flagships are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset – the “Extreme” variant in the Pro Max – and carry massive 200‑megapixel main and periscope telephoto cameras, complemented by a 50‑megapixel ultra‑wide sensor; the front‑facing camera is also 50 MP.
Battery capacity is 8,500 mAh for the Pro Max and 7,000 mAh for the Pro, each supporting 100 W wired and 50 W wireless fast charging, while storage options range from 12 GB/256 GB up to 16 GB/1 TB.
Pricing starts at 5,999 CNY (about US$900) for the 18 Pro and 6,999 CNY (about US$1,042) for the 18 Pro Max, with colour choices that include black, white, blue, pink and a special transparent‑red edition for the top‑spec Pro Max.
Xiaomi hinted that a global rollout will follow, noting that further details are expected to be disclosed at a later stage, possibly after the Snapdragon Summit where the company first mentioned the upcoming launch.
