Each ticket was priced at ₹500. The Directorate said the draw is scheduled for 1.30 p.m. on September 26 at Gorkhi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. Health Minister K. Muraleedharan is due to inaugurate the event, while Lotteries Director Anju K.S. will preside. The minister is also expected to launch the Pooja bumper lottery at the event.
Palakkad recorded the highest sales, with 20.95 lakh tickets, followed by Thrissur with 10.62 lakh and Thiruvananthapuram with 8.64 lakh, according to Anju. Tickets sold through district lottery offices and sub-offices, approved agencies and vendors will be eligible for the draw.
The ₹30-crore top prize is the largest first prize offered so far by a Kerala lottery, the Directorate said. The total value of prizes across the bumper is ₹125.56 crore. This year’s Thiruvonam bumper was launched by Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan in July.
Tickets were issued in the series TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL. With the printed stock sold out, the next scheduled step is the draw in Thiruvananthapuram.
