The Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy in Chennai and the District Legal Services Authority in Salem jointly organised the programme on behalf of the Salem District Judiciary. Principal District Judge Swarnam J. Natarajan presided over the event, inaugurated it and visited an exhibition of medicinal plants.
Participants could receive free checks of blood pressure, weight and pulse. Consultations were offered in Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, homoeopathy and naturopathy, alongside health-awareness sessions. Yoga and wellness demonstrations were also part of the programme.
The camp was intended for judicial officers, court staff, advocates and advocate clerks. More than 100 people took part. By combining basic screening with consultations and information sessions, Neethi Nalam brought a range of health services into the court complex for people working in Salem’s judicial system.
