According to the first information report, the video allegedly sought to insult the reputation of Narayana Guru, the Ezhava community and people associated with the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam. Subhash is a native of Muvattupuzha and serves as the tantri of a Nagaraja temple there. Police said he was booked on allegations of disrupting public peace and provoking hatred between communities.
