Poland defended its European volleyball title with a 3–1 victory over France in the final. The set scores were 31–29, 25–19, 20–25 and 25–16. The match was played in Milan.
Poland, ranked No. 1 in the world, had also won the Nations League earlier in 2026. Defeating Olympic champions France further strengthened the team’s standing in European volleyball.
France took silver. Finland won bronze and reached the European Championship podium for the first time, beating Slovenia 3–0 in the third-place match. Finland had earlier eliminated Italy, the host nation and reigning world champion.
