Rain and local thunderstorms are forecast for eastern and southern Greece on Sunday. According to meteo.gr, affected areas include the Sporades, Magnesia, Evia, eastern Central Greece including Attica, the eastern Peloponnese, the Cyclades and Crete. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in western and northern parts of the country.
Western Macedonia is forecast at 5–20/21°C; the rest of Macedonia and Thrace at 7–25°C; Epirus at 6–26°C; Thessaly at 6–24°C; and other mainland areas at 9–25/27°C. Crete is expected to see 10–22/23°C, the Ionian islands 13–23/25°C, the northern and northeastern Aegean islands 15–22°C, and other Aegean islands 16–25°C.
Northerly to northeasterly winds in the Aegean may reach force 6–7 on the Beaufort scale. Northeasterly to northerly winds in the Ionian are expected at force 4–5. Attica will have cloud and local rain, mainly in the north and east, with gradual improvement by evening. Temperatures are forecast at 18–21/22°C; overnight lows in northern and eastern areas may be 3–4°C lower. Winds will be mostly northerly at force 4–5, reaching force 6–7 in eastern Attica.
Thessaloniki is forecast to have periods of increased cloud, variable winds at force 2–3, and temperatures of 16–24/25°C. The outlook points to unsettled conditions in the east and south and a modest warming mainly in the west and north.
