Dayana Yastremska is competing for a place in the main draw of the WTA 1000 China Open in Beijing. The Ukrainian, ranked No. 110 in the WTA standings, received the top seed in qualifying. She will open against China’s Wang Jiayi, a wild-card recipient ranked No. 544.
The tournament’s prize money totals $9,415,725. This is Yastremska’s second appearance in the Beijing qualifying draw; she advanced to the main draw in 2018. It will be her fifth appearance in the Chinese capital overall.
Her best China Open results were second-round appearances in 2019, 2024 and 2025. This year’s main draw is scheduled for September 30 through October 11.
