The fire broke out in Risløkka, Oslo, overnight into Sunday. VG reports that five or six cars that had been towed away sustained major damage.
Two minutes after the first report, police said several cars were burning and firefighters were already at the scene tackling the blaze. Oslo’s 110 emergency fire dispatch centre said shortly afterwards that crews had brought the fire under control.
Police suspect that the fire involving the towed cars was deliberate. That is an investigative theory, not a confirmed cause. VG’s report did not state whether anyone was injured or arrested, and it did not provide a final investigation finding.
