Photographer Gøril Resaland Skeide photographed local women and men nude in the surrounding landscape for the 2025 and 2026 calendars. She also posed herself. The cancer charity project came from a village of around 270 permanent residents.
Organisers pledged 100 kroner from each women’s calendar to the breast cancer association. Its leader, Camilla Skare, received the donation as the 2026 Pink Ribbon campaign began.
Skare said the initiative created shared local experiences while improving support for people undergoing breast cancer treatment. Over the years, the Pink Ribbon campaign has raised more than 600 million kroner for breast cancer research.
Former local youth association leader Knut P. Bøyum appeared in the men’s calendar. He joked about the women’s stronger sales and said he was proud of the calendars and those who participated.
Suggestions have included a mixed calendar for 2027 and a 2028 edition involving municipal councillors. Skeide said her team was not currently planning a mixed edition, although another calendar remained possible later.
