A helicopter crashed in Quebec, killing all four people aboard, CBC reported, citing police. The site was about 55 kilometres southeast of Montreal, and the crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. local time.
Police spokesperson Brigitte Dorsainville said the helicopter was burning when emergency services arrived and all four people inside were pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe it was a private aircraft; the victims have not been identified publicly.
Preliminary information indicates the helicopter encountered problems shortly after takeoff and crashed near its departure point. Authorities have not specified where it took off. The cause has not been established.
