After a cool night, much of southern Germany is forecast to see sunshine on Sunday, September 27. The southwest could reach 31°C, while temperatures elsewhere in the south are expected to range from 22°C to 29°C and in the north from 21°C to 27°C. No rain is forecast for the day.
Similar temperatures are expected at the start of next week, with milder nights. The southwest could again reach 31°C on Monday. Scattered showers are possible in parts of the north and northwest, including early Tuesday, although Tuesday is expected to be mostly dry and bright or sunny.
DWD meteorologist Nico Bauer said the late-summer spell is likely to last until around midweek. Several days near 30°C are possible in low-lying areas of the southwest. The chance of showers and thunderstorms moving in from the west is expected to increase gradually in the second half of the week.
