Health Ministry Order No. 745n, dated August 24 and registered on September 21, approves a standard of medical care for adults with recurrent depressive disorder. It replaces the previous 2022 standard, Order No. 466n. The official legal publication says the new order will take effect on October 3, 2026.
The list includes examinations by a neurologist, ophthalmologist, general practitioner, urologist and obstetrician-gynaecologist, as well as consultation with a medical psychologist. The laboratory tests named include a full blood count, a general biochemical blood test, testing for lipid-metabolism disorders, urinalysis, and screening for hepatitis B and C, HIV and syphilis.
The non-drug procedures listed include electropuncture, electro-neurostimulation of the brain, extremely high-frequency acupuncture, transcranial magnetic stimulation, plasmapheresis, hypoxic exposure and intravenous blood irradiation. The order provides average service-frequency indicators; inclusion in the list does not mean every procedure will be prescribed to every patient.
