Hyundai Motor said its flagship large SUV, the second-generation Palisade, is approaching 300,000 global sales in the 20 months since launch. The fully redesigned model went on sale in January 2025 and had reached 281,920 units through August, averaging about 15,000 a month. At the current pace, sales of the new generation are expected to pass 300,000 soon.

The second generation debuted about six years after the first Palisade launched in December 2018. Its hybrid version accounted for 72.1% of Palisade sales in the first eight months of this year, with strong demand particularly in North America, Yonhap reported.

Combined sales of the first and second generations reached 1.24 million units through August. The model family passed 1 million cumulative sales in May 2025, about six and a half years after its debut. Hyundai expects the second generation to cross the 300,000 mark soon if its current sales pace continues.
