Eight people were killed in Russian strikes in Ukraine on Sunday, Greek outlet Naftemporiki reported, citing local reports. Two people, including a 16-year-old, were killed in Sumy; one person was killed in Kyiv or its suburbs and four others were injured. A Russian drone killed one person in Bucha, according to the report. Three people were killed overnight in Zaporizhzhia, and one man died in Odesa.
Homes and industrial sites were damaged in Kyiv. The report also said the headquarters of Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest mobile operator, was hit. It cited reports of internet access disruptions in some areas after Russian attacks on data centres, without specifying the scale of the outages.
Ukrainian authorities accused Russia of creating a humanitarian crisis and obstructing aid and evacuation in Oleshky, in the Kherson region. Ukraine said a drone operation delivered four tonnes of food on Sunday. One official described about 2,000 residents as “hostages of Moscow.” The Kremlin acknowledged supply difficulties last week but blamed Kyiv, saying Ukrainian forces were preventing aid deliveries with strikes.
In the Russian-controlled part of Zaporizhzhia region, Moscow-appointed Enerhodar mayor Maksim Pukhov said a Ukrainian drone killed a woman. Ukrainian authorities said Russia had used more than 2,200 long-range drones, 1,650 aerial bombs and 38 missiles over the past week.
