Global Vision, a Romanian real estate investment and development platform, has acquired an office complex in Bucharest’s Charles de Gaulle–Dorobanți area. The seller was a group of Irish investors. HotNews reports that the transaction was signed around six months ago and recently completed.
The complex has approximately 10,000 square metres of built area. Developed between 2001 and 2004, it was among the first modern glass-and-steel office buildings in central Bucharest. The purchase expands Global Vision’s office portfolio in the Romanian capital.
Reff & Asociații | Deloitte Legal advised Global Vision throughout the acquisition, including due diligence and the negotiation, signing and completion of the contractual documents. Deloitte Romania provided financial and tax advisory services.
Global Vision founder and CEO Sorin Preda described the purchase as part of the company’s strategy to bring strategically located assets back into the city’s commercial landscape. He cited the firm’s earlier Brătianu Business Center and Corner Office Building projects and said its experience as an investor, developer and asset manager would support efforts to increase the property’s value.
Irina Dimitriu, partner and head of real estate at Reff & Asociații | Deloitte Legal, said negotiations lasted a year and involved multiple challenges, which the teams managed before closing. She also said advising a Romanian entrepreneur contributed to strengthening domestic capital in the country’s office market.
HotNews labels the article as sponsored by Deloitte Romania. The purchase price, the Irish investors’ identities and specific plans for renovation or future use of the complex were not disclosed.
