Meteorologists at Slovenia’s Environment Agency forecast a cold Tuesday morning: temperatures near freezing in frost-prone basins, generally 4–9°C elsewhere and up to 12°C in the Primorska region. The day should be mostly clear, with morning fog possible in some basins and a light bora in parts of Primorska.
Afternoon highs are expected to reach 19–23°C, or up to 26°C in Primorska. Wednesday should also be mostly clear, while Thursday and Friday are forecast to be largely sunny with high cloud. Fog may linger in some lowlands during the morning and part of the day.
From 2 to 7 October, high pressure is expected to influence the region before gradually weakening on Tuesday. A high-altitude trough carrying colder air may move towards Central Europe on Wednesday, while a small surface cyclone and weather front could cross the region. Forecasters say the potential effect on Slovenia is still quite uncertain.
