South Korea shares public financial management experience with Vietnam

SEOUL, Sept. 28 — South Korea’s Ministry of Planning and Budget briefed a delegation of senior Vietnamese government officials on its public financial management policies. Kang Young-kyu, a senior ministry official in charge of future strategy, met the delegation led by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi.

The ministry said South Korea outlined its fiscal policies, including its approach to managing public finances, and the two sides discussed bilateral exchanges. The visit followed a recommendation from the World Bank. Vietnam is seeking lessons from South Korea’s fiscal policies and experience with reform.
