Erasmus Shipinvest Group, led by John Su, has added the Cross Power to its managed fleet. The Ultramax bulk carrier has a deadweight capacity of 64,000 tonnes, was built in Japan in 2018 and sails under the flag of the Marshall Islands.
The handover took place at the port of Tema, Ghana, on Sept. 21. Within about 24 hours of signing the delivery and acceptance protocol, the vessel was prepared and successfully delivered to charterer DryLog Ltd. on Sept. 22.
Erasmus, a Chinese-interest shipping company based in Vouliagmeni, said the addition strengthens its expanding dry-bulk fleet. The company thanked its partners and staff for completing the transaction.
