Madame Tussauds in Berlin is adding a wax döner kebab to its collection. The museum says visitors will be able to see it from October 8, calling it the first exhibit of its kind in the world.
The model recreates the vegetable döner from Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap on Mehringdamm. The museum describes it, with the qualification “probably,” as Berlin’s most famous döner. A replica of the food stand will also be on display.
Tarik Kara, the shop’s owner, is due to attend the unveiling and present the figure himself. The exhibit will pair the wax depiction of the dish with a reconstruction of the place associated with it.
Madame Tussauds’ Berlin wax museum has operated since 2008. The institution says visitors can currently see more than 120 exhibits.
