Polsat News has launched a YouTube podcast by journalist Grzegorz Jankowski called “Jankowski Solo.” The premiere discusses Poland’s health system, including private medical costs and the repeated referrals patients may face while seeking diagnosis and tests.
Jankowski said a private consultation in Warsaw can cost about 400 zlotys for 10 to 15 minutes, even when a doctor does not provide a diagnosis and instead orders tests. He argued that a second appointment and referral to another specialist can push the total into hundreds or thousands of zlotys. The episode also criticizes doctor Dawid Kacprzyk in connection with the South Hospital case in Warsaw.
