A new guidance and coaching centre in Hasanur will help young people from the Thalavadi hills navigate government recruitment exams, from finding notifications and checking eligibility to registering and preparing for tests.
The centre is scheduled to open on Saturday, September 26, at the Government Tribal Residential Higher Secondary School in Hasanur. The initiative is being led by Sathyamangalam-based NGO Service Unit for Development Activities in Rural (SUDAR), with support from the Coaching and Guidance Centre for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Communities in Coimbatore.
College graduates and people who have completed Classes 10 or 12 will be able to use the service. It will provide information on Central and Tamil Nadu government recruitment examinations, including notification dates and eligibility requirements, and help candidates register for exams.
Weekend coaching classes are planned on Saturdays and Sundays. The programme will cover examinations conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board, the Staff Selection Commission and the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, along with other Central government recruitment agencies.
The organisers say the centre is intended to give young people in the hill villages more structured access to exam information and preparation. It will also offer guidance on employment opportunities, addressing practical steps that can otherwise be difficult for candidates to navigate on their own.
