Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey has filed a complaint with Delhi Police against officials and staff of the federation, alleging harassment, intimidation and fraud in an ongoing internal dispute.

The complaint, dated September 24 and submitted to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police for South Delhi, names Hockey India director B.N. Bhushan, suspended director general Cdr. R.K. Srivastava, finance manager Subodh Kumar and driver Harminder Singh. Tirkey has asked police to register a formal First Information Report and investigate allegations that include criminal breach of trust, theft and conspiracy.

According to sources cited in the report, Tirkey was visiting the national capital and had travelled in a vehicle arranged by the federation. The vehicle was allegedly recalled without informing him, while his personal belongings and documents were inside. The vehicle and its occupants then could not be contacted, the sources said.

Tirkey’s complaint seeks the recovery of the property and documents. The allegations have not been established in court. Bhushan and Srivastava had not responded to requests for comment at the time of the report.

The complaint adds a new public dispute within Hockey India as Indian teams compete at the Asian Games. Police action and any response from the named officials will determine what steps follow; the available account does not say whether an FIR has been registered.
