MGKL chief plans to more than double stake to 29%

Alexey Lazutin, chief executive of MGKL, plans to increase his stake in the company from 12.7% to 29% through over-the-counter share purchases, the company said. The plan was reported by RBC and independently confirmed by Kommersant, which cited the company’s press service.

MGKL shares rose 9.4% on Tuesday and reached an intraday peak of 2.115 roubles, according to Moscow Exchange data at 10:02 a.m. Moscow time cited by RBC. Kommersant also reported a 9.4% rise following the announcement.

MGKL is the parent company of the Mosgorlombard group. The proposed purchases are planned as OTC transactions. The company has not announced the counterparties or a timetable in the materials cited by the outlets.
