Russian officer claims more than 90 drone sites hit in Kharkiv region

An officer from Russia’s Sever grouping said over 90 drone command and launch sites were struck in September. The claims were not independently verified in the source report.

An officer identified by the callsign Karta told RIA Novosti that units of Russia’s 11th Army Corps, part of the Sever grouping, destroyed more than 90 Ukrainian drone command and launch sites in the Kharkiv region in September. The source report offered no independent confirmation.

According to the officer, aerial reconnaissance identified communications antennas, control nodes and signal amplifiers before passing coordinates to strike units. He said FPV drones, Molniya-2 fixed-wing drones and drones carrying dropped munitions were used.

The officer said the strikes reduced drone activity in some parts of the front. His assessment of the effects and claims about the situation near Vovchansk were also not independently confirmed in the published report.
