Traffic rerouted at Berlin’s Funkturm interchange during bridge works

A115 traffic is now directed via Avus, Jafféstrasse and Messedamm. Authorities warn of congestion and expect restrictions to remain until summer 2027.

Traffic routing at Berlin’s Funkturm interchange has changed during construction of the new Ringbahn bridge. Drivers heading north from the A115 to the A100 are now directed via the Avus rest area to Jafféstrasse and Messedamm, then back to the A100 via the Spandauer Damm junction.

The previous ramp to the eastern section of Halenseestrasse has been closed. A new single-lane diversion runs south of the Avus rest area and makes a short loop along old Jafféstrasse. Berlin’s traffic information centre warned of possible delays, especially at the old Jafféstrasse-Messedamm intersection during peak periods. Traffic lights have been adjusted.

Restrictions are expected to remain until summer 2027, when project manager DEGES plans to complete the Ringbahn bridge linking the A115 and A100. The old bridge was closed and demolished in spring 2025 after a growing crack was found in its supporting structure. The Westend bridge farther north is also being rebuilt.
