49ers’ Dre Greenlaw ejected for head-butting Ernest Jones

San Francisco linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected during the second quarter against Seattle on October 11 after head-butting Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones.

The confrontation followed a late hit by Greenlaw on Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold along the Seahawks sideline. Officials had flagged Greenlaw for the hit before Seattle players approached him.

Jones was not wearing a helmet when Greenlaw struck him with his head. The incident led to Greenlaw’s removal from the game, leaving San Francisco without the linebacker for the remainder of the contest.
