Travel blogger Marina Ershova wrote on her Dzen blog about meeting a Russian man named Igor during a trip to Nicaragua. According to her account, he moved there with his wife, children and cat. The family settled in a city Ershova describes as peaceful and popular with foreigners, and opened a small coffee shop.
The blogger relayed Igor’s view that the family enjoys the warm climate, the ocean and the tourist atmosphere. In her account, he misses winter and the grey season but is not planning to return to Russia for now. Ershova described him as happy with his new life.
The blogger had previously written about local food, mentioning guava jelly and pickled onions with chili.
