
Brazilian food producer Camil Alimentos reported net profit of 41.3 million reais for the second quarter of fiscal 2026. Revenue fell 7.2% year over year even as the company’s gross margin widened.
Net revenue for June through August was 2.765 billion reais, down from 2.98 billion a year earlier. It rose 3.6% from the first quarter of 2026. Net profit also increased sequentially, climbing 47.7% from 28 million reais.
Gross profit reached 681.9 million reais, up 1.2% year over year, while gross margin expanded from 22.6% to 24.7%. EBITDA fell 10.1% to 225.3 million reais. Selling, general and administrative expenses rose to 19.6% of net revenue from 16.7%.
In Brazil’s high-turnover food segment, which includes grains and sugar, sales volume declined 4.6% to 335,900 tonnes. The average net price rose 10% to 3.89 reais per kilogram. The higher-value division, which includes pasta, biscuits, coffee and fish, increased volume by 14.1% to 51,600 tonnes.
Sales volume across Camil’s operations in Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Paraguay fell 8.3% from a year earlier. Net debt stood at 4.083 billion reais at the end of August, up 17.8% year over year but down 3.1% from May.
