Chile beats Mexico 2-0 in international friendly

Chile defeated Mexico in a friendly, with Maximiliano Gutiérrez opening the scoring in the second half and Vicente Pizarro adding a second goal.

Chile beat Mexico 2-0 in an international friendly. Sport-Express said Maximiliano Gutiérrez opened the scoring at around the 55th minute; EL PAÍS lists Vicente Pizarro’s second goal in the 64th.

The goal was Gutiérrez’s second in consecutive matches. He had also scored in Chile’s previous friendly, a 4-2 defeat to the United States. EL PAÍS reported that the Mexico match closed a four-game friendly series in which Mexico recorded two draws and two defeats.
