Russia midfielder Aleksandr Erokhin compared the national team's two recent wins and said its friendly against Nigeria on Oct. 6 will be the final match of the training camp.
Russia beat Iran 2-0 in Kazan on Sept. 29, then defeated Namibia 6-0 in Yekaterinburg on Oct. 3. Erokhin described Iran as the more experienced opponent: it has played at a World Cup, and Russia's players know Sardar Azmoun from his time at Zenit.
Erokhin said the match against Namibia was easier for Russia. The first half was played at a good level, he said, but after the break the opposition began to come apart and conceded several goals.
Russia will close its training camp with a friendly against Nigeria in Nizhny Novgorod on Oct. 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Moscow time.
