Kamara missed the Saints’ opening game after sustaining a knee sprain during the summer, but he has participated fully in practice sessions over the past two days and says he feels no limitations.
Speaking on the team’s website, Kamara affirmed his readiness, stating, “I’m going. I feel great, moving well, really no limitations. I feel good.”
The Saints bolstered their backfield this offseason by signing veteran running back Travis Etienne, who logged nine carries for 46 yards in a recent win over the Detroit Lions, while rookie Kendre Miller also recorded nine carries in that game.
Kamara emphasized his willingness to contribute in any capacity, noting that the timing of his call‑up is uncertain and that the coaching staff will decide his role, adding, “My job is to be ready.”
The team will issue an official update on Kamara’s game status on Friday, and will also address injury designations for wide receiver Chris Olave and defensive ends Cam Jordan and Chase Young, who were limited in Thursday’s practice.
