The German virtuoso, now 69, confirmed that the 2027 leg of his Next Level Tour will hit arenas across the United States and Canada between February and April, with a pair of performances scheduled in the New York and New Jersey area.
In a statement to Billboard, Zimmer said he wants fans to feel “like they’re at a rave party or riding a roller coaster,” adding that each concert is “a new voyage of discovery.”
The shows will feature Zimmer’s 19‑piece international band, blending live orchestral instruments with electronic elements and large‑scale visual production, placing the composer front and center for three‑hour performances.
Past concerts have showcased suites from his most iconic scores, including “The Dark Knight,” “Dune,” “Gladiator,” “Interstellar” and “The Lion King.” A February 2025 performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center was described by the New York Post as a “dramatic, heart‑racing adventure” that left the audience in a trance‑like state.
Tickets will be sold to the general public through Ticketmaster beginning at 10 a.m. local time on Sept. 25. The outlet also noted that tickets are already circulating on secondary‑market sites such as StubHub, which the article recommends only when they provide a 100 % buyer guarantee.
Zimmer is simultaneously working on several upcoming scoring projects, including the sequel “Dune 3” slated for release on Dec. 18, 2026, as well as music for “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” “F1: The Movie 2,” the two‑part “Ramayana,” HBO’s new “Harry Potter” series and Netflix’s “All The Sinners Bleed.”
The announcement comes amid a broader trend of high‑profile composers and classical musicians taking their work on the road, with contemporaries such as Gustavo Dudamel also announcing major tours this year.
