Dominique Bonnet, Ph.D., is a group leader at the Francis Crick Institute and a professor in the Division of Biosciences at University College London. She also holds honorary professorships at Imperial College London and King’s College London and was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2023. Bonnet’s laboratory investigates the molecular and cellular programs that govern normal human hematopoietic stem cells and how oncogenic mutations disrupt these programs to drive myeloid malignancies, including the development of humanized bone‑marrow niche models to study interactions between normal and leukemic stem cells.
Frederic Relaix, Ph.D., serves as full professor and vice‑dean for research at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, Université Paris‑Est Créteil, where he leads the Muscle Stem Cells and Therapies Team and the Muscle Development, Repair & Therapies Group. He also heads the AFM‑Telethon strategic pole Translamuscle. Relaix’s research focuses on the regulation of skeletal‑muscle stem cells throughout development, regeneration, aging and disease, employing genetics, genomics, epigenetics and pre‑clinical models to uncover mechanisms underlying muscle maintenance and repair, and to develop therapeutic strategies for neuromuscular disorders such as Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
The appointments are intended to broaden Stem Cell Reports’ editorial expertise across both fundamental and disease‑focused stem‑cell research, reinforcing the journal’s role as an open‑access platform for high‑impact discoveries and translational studies in the field.
